Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Chicken gizzards cleaned and trimmed
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil optional, for crispiness
  • Cooking spray for air fryer basket

Method
 

  1. Boil the gizzards: In a large pot, add chicken gizzards, water, and salt. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 45–50 minutes until tender. Drain and pat dry.
  2. Season the gizzards: In a bowl, toss the gizzards with garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, onion powder, and olive oil if using. Mix well to coat.
  3. Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  4. Air fry the gizzards: Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place gizzards in a single layer. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  5. Rest and serve: Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce!

Notes

  • You can soak the gizzards in buttermilk for a few hours before cooking to enhance tenderness and flavor.
  • Leftovers are great in wraps or salads!
