- Sift the powdered sugar into a mixing bowl for a lump-free glaze.
- Add melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and salt to the bowl.
- Whisk everything together until smooth and glossy.
- Adjust consistency with more milk (to thin) or more sugar (to thicken), if needed.
- Drizzle over warm cinnamon rolls and let it set for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Make it your own by adding a splash of maple or almond extract, or even a pinch of cinnamon to tie in those warm roll flavors. This icing also works beautifully over muffins, donuts, or pancakes.
