Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups Water Filtered
  • 2 tbsp Fresh ginger Peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice Freshly squeezed
  • 2 tbsp Honey Adjust to taste
  • 1 slice Lemon For garnish
  • 1 stick Cinnamon Optional for warmth
  • 3 leaves Fresh mint Optional for freshness

Equipment

  • 1 Fine mesh strainer To strain ginger pieces
  • 4 Tea cups or mugs For serving warm
  • 1 Citrus juicer Optional, for fresh lemon juice

Method
 

  1. Add the water and sliced ginger to a small saucepan and bring to a gentle boil.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes to infuse the ginger flavor.
  3. Remove from heat and strain the tea into a clean container or directly into mugs.
  4. Stir in the freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  5. Add honey while the tea is warm (not boiling) to keep its natural benefits intact.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity to your liking.
  7. Garnish with a lemon slice, fresh mint, or a cinnamon stick if desired.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy warm.

  • Swap honey with maple syrup for a vegan option.
