Ingredients
  

  • For the Cauliflower:
  • 1 medium head cauliflower cut into bite-size florets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch for crisp coating
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the Hot Honey Glaze:
  • cup honey or maple syrup for vegan
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce or ½ tsp chili flakes for milder heat
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar or lime juice
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • Pinch of cayenne optional, for extra heat
  • For Garnish optional:
  • Chopped green onions
  • Toasted sesame seeds
  • Drizzle of extra honey

Equipment

Method
 

Prepare the cauliflower:
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 190 °C / 375 °F (or oven to 200 °C / 400 °F).
  2. In a large bowl, toss cauliflower florets with olive oil, cornstarch, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Air fry or roast:
  1. Arrange florets in a single layer.
  2. Air fry for 18–20 minutes (or roast 25 minutes), shaking halfway through, until golden and crisp.
Make the glaze:
  1. While the cauliflower cooks, warm honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, paprika, chili powder, and cayenne in a small saucepan over low heat.
  2. Stir for 2–3 minutes until glossy and slightly thickened. Remove from heat.
Glaze the cauliflower:
  1. Transfer hot cauliflower to a clean bowl. Pour the warm honey glaze over and toss quickly to coat every floret.
Serve:
  1. Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and an extra drizzle of honey if desired.
  2. Serve immediately while hot and crisp for the perfect sweet-spicy crunch.
