Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add kielbasa slices and brown for 3–4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, sauté garlic and onion for 2 minutes until fragrant and translucent.
Stir in smoked paprika and return the kielbasa to the skillet.
Pour in cream and broth (or reserved pasta water). Simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Add cooked pasta and toss until evenly coated. Season with salt and pepper.
Stir in shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
Serve warm with chopped parsley on top, if desired.
