- Slice onions into very thin rings using a sharp knife or mandoline for even crisping.
- Separate rings and pat completely dry to remove surface moisture.
- Toss onion rings gently with olive oil and seasonings until evenly coated.
- Arrange rings in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet or air fryer basket.
- Bake at 200°C (400°F) or air-fry at 190°C (375°F) until golden and crisp, flipping once.
- Remove when deeply golden and let rest briefly to finish crisping before serving.

• Thinner slices result in crispier onion ring chips.
• Do not overcrowd the pan or basket or the onions will steam instead of crisp.
• Season after cooking for extra crunch if desired.
• Best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated briefly in the oven or air fryer.
