Ingredients
  

  • Main:
  • 4 pork chops bone-in or boneless, about 1 inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Sauce:
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Garnish Optional:
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Instructions
 

Prepare the Pork Chops:

  • Dry the pork chops with a paper towel.
  • Pat salt, pepper and paprika on both sides.

Sear the Pork Chops:

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the pork chops and sear for about 3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Transfer to a plate and set aside.

Cook the Aromatics:

  • Lower the heat to medium in the same skillet and sauté the onion until softened (about 3 minutes).
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute.

Prepare the Sauce:

  • Add in the cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce and sour cream.
  • Whisk the mixture until smooth and bubbling.

Simmer the Pork Chops:

  • Add the pork chops back to the skillet so they're coated with the sauce.
  • Lower the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes or until the pork chops are tender.

Optional Garnish:

  • Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese and chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Use bone-in pork chops for extra flavor and juiciness.
To prevent the sour cream from curdling, add it off the heat and stir it in gently.
