Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups sushi rice cooked and seasoned with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt
  • 1 lb salmon fillet cooked and flaked
  • 1 cup imitation crab shredded (optional for added flavour)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise preferably Japanese mayo like Kewpie
  • 2 tbsp sriracha adjust to taste
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp furikake seasoning optional, for added flavour
  • 1 sheet nori crumbled for topping (optional)
  • 2 green onions sliced for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Step 1 (Get the Ingredients Ready): Cook sushi rice as directed on package. Rice vinegar, sugar and salt to taste
  • Step 2: Cook salmon until it easily flakes. If using the imitation crab leave it in whole pieces, but shred.
  • Step 3 (mash the base): In a bowl, mash together cooked salmon + imitation crab meat+ mayonnaise + sriracha+ soy sauce and rice vinegar. Then, stir until fully combined and creamy.
  • step 4 Layer in Baking Dish : Add the rice mixture into a baking dish evenly. Top with furikake seasoning (if using) and then the salmon mixture.
  • Step 5 : Preheat Oven to 350°F (175°C): Put this salmon sushi bake inside of the oven and let it cook for 15-20 minutes or until warmed through.
  • Step 6 (Finish and Serve): Uncover pot from oven, sprinkle crushed nori and green onions over top. Serve with additional soya sauce or sriracha on the side, if desired.
