Ingredients

  • 2 cups seedless watermelon cubed
  • 1-2 slices jalapeño fresh (adjust for heat)
  • 8-10 mint leaves fresh
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or to taste
  • 2 limes juiced
  • 4 oz white rum
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • Mint sprigs and watermelon wedges for garnish

Equipment

  • 1 muddler
  • 1 cocktail shaker (optional)
  • 4 tall glasses
  • Strainer (optional, for a smooth finish)

Method

  1. Muddle Magic: In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, muddle the watermelon cubes, mint leaves, jalapeño slices, and sugar until juicy and fragrant.
  2. Add the Zing: Pour in the fresh lime juice and rum. Give it a good shake (or stir if you’re mixing in the glass).
  3. Build the Mojito: Fill tall glasses with ice. Strain the muddled mixture over the ice for a smooth sip, or pour it all in for a rustic vibe.
  4. Top and Garnish: Top with sparkling water. Garnish with mint sprigs, extra watermelon cubes, or a thin slice of jalapeño for flair.
  5. Sip & Enjoy: Stir gently and serve immediately for a burst of sweet, spicy, and minty freshness!
