Ingredients

  • 3 cups water
  • 2 bags black tea or use loose-leaf 2 tsp
  • 2 ripe peaches sliced fresh or frozen
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger optional for a subtle kick
  • 1 cup cold water or sparkling to top off when serving
  • Ice cubes for serving
  • Fresh mint optional garnish

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • fine mesh strainer
  • pitcher
  • Stirring spoon

Method

  1. Simmer the peaches: In a saucepan, bring 3 cups of water to a gentle boil. Add sliced peaches and simmer for 5–7 minutes until fragrant and soft.
  2. Steep the tea: Remove from heat, add tea bags, and let steep for 5–7 minutes. For stronger flavor, steep longer.
  3. Sweeten and flavor: Remove tea bags and strain the peach mixture into a pitcher. Stir in honey (or maple syrup), lemon juice, and optional ginger.
  4. Chill: Let the tea cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Serve: Fill glasses with ice, pour in peach iced tea, and top with sparkling water if desired. Garnish with mint and peach slices.

Notes

  • Make it keto: Replace honey/maple syrup with stevia or monk fruit.
  • Make it fizzy: Use sparkling water for a refreshing twist.
  • Want stronger peach flavor? Muddle a few peach slices in each glass.
