Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups green cabbage finely chopped or grated
  • ½ cup carrots grated
  • ¼ cup onion finely minced
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • tablespoons white vinegar
  • cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Prep the Veggies: In a large bowl, combine finely chopped cabbage, grated carrots, and minced onion. Toss to mix evenly.
  2. Make the Dressing: In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, buttermilk, milk, lemon juice, vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Combine: Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and stir until everything is thoroughly coated.
  4. Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (preferably overnight) to let the flavors develop.
  5. Serve: Give it a quick stir before serving. Best served cold and fresh!

Notes

  • For a more authentic texture, use a food processor to finely mince the cabbage and carrots.
