- 1 large egg
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar packed
- ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped apples peeled, about 1 medium apple

Preheat oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a round cake pan.
Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
