Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fine-ground yellow cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour or gluten-free blend if needed
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika smoked or sweet
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, for a spicy kick
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

Method
 

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, pepper, and salt.

  2. Stir in the dried herbs (thyme and oregano) and cayenne if you’re using it.
  3. Whisk everything together until it looks evenly blended.
  4. Store in an airtight jar in a cool pantry it keeps for up to 3 months.
