Ingredients
  

  • 4 chicken breasts or thighs skinless
  • 1 packet of ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet of au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup butter unsalted
  • 6-8 pepperoncini peppers or banana peppers
  • Salt and pepper to taste optional

Method
 

  1. Place the chicken breasts or thighs in the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix over the chicken.
  3. Place the butter on top of the chicken.
  4. Add the pepperoncini peppers around the chicken.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
  6. Shred the chicken with two forks, mixing the sauce and chicken together.
  7. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or with a side of vegetables.

Notes

You can use chicken thighs for a juicier, more flavorful result.
Adjust the amount of pepperoncini peppers based on your desired spice level.
For a healthier version, use skinless chicken breasts and opt for a low-fat ranch dressing mix.
