- Place the chicken breasts or thighs in the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix over the chicken.
- Place the butter on top of the chicken.
- Add the pepperoncini peppers around the chicken.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
- Shred the chicken with two forks, mixing the sauce and chicken together.
- Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or with a side of vegetables.
