Ingredients
  

  • 1 can pecan pie filling or 1½ cups homemade
  • 1 cup chopped pecans toasted for extra crunch
  • 1 box yellow cake mix classic base
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 eggs lightly beaten
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon optional adds warmth
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar optional for added caramelization

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. Spread the pecan pie filling evenly across the bottom of the dish.
  3. Sprinkle the chopped pecans on top of the pie filling.
  4. Evenly distribute the yellow cake mix across the entire surface; do not stir!
  5. Drizzle melted butter over the cake mix. Try to cover as much dry mix as possible.
  6. Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar, if using, for extra depth.
  7. Bake for 45–50 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.
  8. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Best enjoyed warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
